The Moon and Venus, a bright meeting in the sky – 23 Apr. 2023.
Despite the clouds, we could admire the Moon and Venus, the two brightest objects in the night sky, shining in the same spot of the sky, sharing the view with the world.
We simply love the Moon and Venus when they meet up there. They are the two brightest objects in the night sky, always offering a superb view when they shine side by side. This happens regularly, more or less on a monthly basis and the last time it was on 23 Apr. 2023.
We scheduled a live feed to share the experience with the world, hoping to use our brand new, large field of view astrograph we recently installed in Manciano, Tuscany (Italy). Needless to say, the sky was very cloudy (Murphy never sleeps!), but with some luck we could grab a few images and we are pleased to show a couple of them here.
The Moon and Venus will shine together again next 23 May 2023 and, of course, we are ready once again to show their meeting live online!
