The Moon meets the Pleiades: online observation – 16 Feb. 2024
Next 16 Feb. 2024, the Moon and the wonderful Pleiades will be side by side, less than 1 degree away. The Virtual Telescope Project will bring to you this cosmic meeting live, online.
On 16 Feb. 2024, a first quarter Moon will be just beside the Pleiades, one of the most beautiful deep sky gems. Of course, it is only matter of perspective, with the Pleiades very far away on the foreground. Our satellite and the star cluster will be within one degree.
The Virtual Telescope Project will show this amazing cosmic event live, using a panoramic astrograph, providing a spectacular view.
The online, free session is scheduled for 16 Feb. 2024, starting at 20:30 UT.
