We imaged again the bright supernova SN 2024iss in PGC 1846725, likely at its peak now. See the image is below.

The image above comes from the average of six, 120-second exposures, unfiltered and unguided, remotely taken with the C14+Paramount ME+ST8-XME robotic unit available as part of the Virtual Telescope Project facility in Manciano, Italy.
We estimated SN 2024iss as bright as mag. 12.5 (unfiltered, R-mags for the reference stars from the Gaia DR2 star catalogue), so this object is likely at its peak now, at the same brightness as a few days ago. It is a type II supernova, found at the early stages of its explosion.
We will track this transient as long as possible.
