Supernova SN 2024jlf in the NGC 5690 galaxy: an image – 1 June 2024.
We observed again supernova SN 2024jlf in NGC 5690, finding it a bit brighter than a few days ago. Here it is our picture.

The image above comes from the average of three, 300-second exposures, unfiltered and unguided, remotely taken with the C14+Paramount ME+ST8-XME robotic unit available as part of the Virtual Telescope Project facility in Manciano, Italy. The supernova is indicated by an arrow in the upper left insert.
We estimated SN 2024jlf as bright as mag. 14.4 (unfiltered, R-mags for the reference stars from the Gaia DR2 star catalogue, it is a bit brighter than last 28 May. It is a young type II supernova.
NGC 5690 is a beautiful edge-on spiral galaxy, which distance is estimated in 95 million light years.
We will track this transient as long as possible.
