Next 21 Aug. 2024, the Moon will occult Saturn, the ringed planet, offering an amazing show. The Virtual Telescope Project will share this wonderful event live, online.

We are pleased to offer to the world such a unique opportunity to admire this awesome Saturn occultation by the Moon. We will observe the kiss between the our natural satellite and the ringed planet using our robotic telescopes installed in Manciano, under the darkest skies of the Italian peninsula.
Our live feed covering the lunar occultation of Saturn is scheduled for 21 Aug. 2024, starting at 03:00 UTC. Our live feed will cover the beginning of the event, as its end will happen at sunrise, with likely too much light in the sky.
