The International Observe the Moon Night is back: are you ready to celebrate? The Virtual Telescope Project – official supporter/key partner of this Nasa event since 2019 – will bring to you the beauty and the importance of our Moon, thanks to live and archival images.

The Virtual Telescope Project is an official Sopporter (formerly Key Partner) of Nasa’s International Observe the Moon Night!
Discovering the Moon and its immense value in human culture is always a thrilling adventure and the International Observe the Moon Night is a superb opportunity to do that. This is why we are particularly proud and excited to support this Nasa initiative since 2019.
To celebrate InOMN 2024, the Virtual Telescope Project will offer a live, online observing session to show you our wonderful satellite.
We will enjoy the Moon hanging above the most famous monuments of the Eternal City with stunning images from our precious archives, together with the live view from our telescopes in the Tuscany Maremma, with the commentary of astrophysicist Gianluca Masi, PhD, founder of the Virtual Telescope Project.The beauty of our natural satellite will shine above the marvelous panorama of the Eternal City, assuring a unique experience.
The online, free session is scheduled for 14 Sept. 2024, starting at 21:30 UT.
