Comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS: new image – 19 Nov. 2024
With the full Moon now gone, we captured comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS again, while it crosses a rich spot of the sky.
The image above comes from the sigma clipping combination of 5, 120-second exposures, remotely taken with the ARTEC250+Paramount ME+C3Pro61000EC robotic unit available as part of the Virtual Telescope Project facility in Manciano, Italy, under the darkest skies of the Italian peninsula. The telescope tracked at the motion rates of the comet.
Comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS is now crossing a very rich patch of the sky, in the Aquila constellation, hence the dense presence of stars and dust.
We will continue monitoring C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS as long as possible.
