Next 4 Jan. 2025, the Moon will offer us an amazing show: the occultation of Saturn, the ringed planet. The Virtual Telescope Project will share this wonderful event live, online.

We are proud to offer to the international community such a unique opportunity to admire this awesome Saturn occultation by the Moon, a kiss between our natural satellite and the ringed planet. For this, we will use our robotic telescopes installed in Manciano, under the darkest skies of the Italian peninsula.
Our live feed covering the lunar occultation of Saturn is scheduled for 4 Jan., starting at 17:15 UTC and will show the entire event, until Saturn will reemerge, around 18:30 UTC.
