The Moon visits the giant planets, Jupiter and Saturn – 19 Nov. 2020
On 19 Nov. 2020, the Moon met Jupiter and Saturn, at sunset: here we share a few images from Rome of that magic rendez-vous.

After the super meeting a few days ago at dawn with Venus and Mercury, the Moon met at sunset the giant planets Jupiter and Saturn.
The three objects were within three degrees, so pretty close, this offering a nice sight for sure. At sunset, I managed to go on the top of my roof, setting up one of my Canon 5DmIV DSLR bodies and a Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM lens to capture this event, once the sky was dark enough.

Of course, the Moon was already there, but soon after and I could spot Jupiter and Saturn, too, thanks to their brightness. I really like looking at these things while the sky is still a bit bright. The lunar “earthshine” was so well visible, so charm.
While the sky was still clear, Jupiter and Saturn showed so nicely close to the lunar disk. 19 Nov. 2020.

Of course, the surrounding was a great bonus, I could not resist and, using a wider lens, I managed to capture the triplet above to horizon.
