Comet C/2023 H5 Lemmon: a new image – 24 Apr. 2025
Here it is comet C/2023 H5 Lemmon, while it was crossing a nice spot in the sky, with galaxy NGC 3394.

The image above comes from the sigma-clipping combination of 7, 30-second exposures, remotely taken with the “Elena” (PlaneWave 17″ + Paramount MEII + SBIG STL-6303E) robotic unit available as part of the Virtual Telescope Project facility in Manciano, Italy.
The very nice spiral galaxy NGC 3394 is visible about 3 arc-mins W from the comet, at a distance of about 170 million light years from us. Galaxy NGC 3392 is also visible, likely at 160 million lights years from the Earth. On the bottom left corner, galaxy UGC 5918 is visible as a faint fuzzy object, placed at about 12 million light years from us.
