Supernova SN 2023ixf in the Messier 101 spiral galaxy: a image – 5 May 2024.
One year after its explosion and six months after our last, public image of this object, we observed again supernova SN 2023ixf in Messier 101, while it is fading.

The image above comes from the average of six, 120-second, unguided exposures, unfiltered, remotely taken with the ARTEC250+Paramount ME+C3Pro61000EC robotic unit available as part of the Virtual Telescope Project in Manciano, Italy. The supernova is indicated by an arrow in the upper right insert.
We estimated SN 2023ixf as bright as mag. 16.7 (R-mags for the reference stars from the Gaia DR2 star catalogue).
Many other galaxies are visible all around. The most remarkable ones are NGC 5474 on the right, close to the border and the edge-on spiral galaxy NGC 5422.
